In Bengaluru, young equestrians Yashaan Khambatta and Jai Singh Sabharwal from Mumbai’s Amateur Riders’ Club showcased their talents at the Equestrian Premier League (EPL). Yashaan won the gold medal in the Show Jumping 130 cm category, completing his round in 29.08 seconds on his horse, Dolce Vita. Jai secured the silver medal in the same category with a time of 29.23 seconds on Carna and also finished third on Elliot de Vesquerie.

In the 120 cm category, Basavaraju S from Bangalore took first place with a time of 31.76 seconds on Dinky Boy. Jai Singh Sabharwal finished second with a time of 33.51 seconds on Elliot de Vesquerie, while Yashaan Khambatta came third on Reinroe Adare Acrobat.

Yashaan, a seasoned rider, has represented India at the Asian Games 2014 and has multiple national gold medals. Jai, the current national champion in the Show Jumping 120 cm category, has had a successful year, winning three national gold medals and competing internationally in Belgium.

Jai expressed his excitement about his recent wins, stating, “It’s been a very nice start to the season with all the tournaments recently and these wins have been a blessing.” Yashaan, after his gold medal win, shared, “My horse Dolce Vita helped me win the gold for the 130cm at the EPL. Our perfect timing for the jump and this win now enables us to prepare more confidently for the CSI 2 star to be held later this month in Bangalore.”
