Tragic Incident in Bhosari Area
On Thursday morning, a portion of a water tank collapsed in the Bhosari area of Pimpri Chinchwad city, Maharashtra. The incident has resulted in the death of five laborers, with two more succumbing to their injuries during treatment, as confirmed by police official Swapna Gore, DCP Pimpri Chinchwad.
Response and Investigation
Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale-Patil reported that the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) Fire Brigade and Medical teams responded promptly to the scene. They were responsible for transporting the injured to the hospital and handling the casualties. Initially, three laborers were reported dead, and 7-8 others were injured and admitted to the hospital.
The police are working to identify the laborers, who are believed to be from outside the state. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collapse and to take action against those responsible.
