Vivaan Kapoor Shines with Silver at ISSF World Cup Final in New Delhi

Vivaan Kapoor, an Indian shooter, secured a silver medal in trap shooting at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final held in New Delhi. Vivaan scored 44 points, finishing second behind China’s QI Ying, who scored 47 points. Turkey’s N Tolga Tuncer took third place with 35 points.

In skeet shooting, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka won a bronze medal with a score of 43. Italy’s Tammaro Cassandro and Gabriele Rossetti claimed the top two spots with scores of 57 and 56, respectively.

Akhil Sheoran also made India proud by winning a bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) event. This was his first World Cup Final medal. Ganemat Sekhon set a new national record in women’s skeet during the competition.

India has now won a total of four medals at the World Cup Final, including two silver and two bronze medals. The event is taking place at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

Sonam Uttam Maskar, who previously won double silver at the Cairo World Cup, secured another silver medal in this competition. China’s Huang Yuting won gold with a world record score of 254.5, narrowly beating Sonam by 1.6 points.
