Visitors Flock to Bogatha Waterfalls in Telangana During Monsoon

The number of visitors to Bogatha Waterfall in the Wazeedu block of Mulugu district, Telangana, has surged with the arrival of the monsoon. Known as the ‘Niagara of Telangana,’ the waterfall is the second-highest in the state. Visitors, including women and children, are enjoying the scenic beauty and adventure sports.

Bogatha Waterfall is located 120 km from Bhadrachalam and 329 km from Hyderabad. The distance has been reduced from 440 km due to the newly constructed Eturnagaram bridge on National Highway 202.

According to the Met Centre of Hyderabad, the southwest monsoon is in a ‘normal’ condition over Telangana, with very heavy rainfall reported in isolated places in B.Kothagudem and heavy rainfall in J. Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Mancherial, and Mulugu districts. A yellow alert for rainfall has been issued for all districts of Telangana until July 11.
