A 52-year-old veterinary assistant surgeon working at the Veterinary Hospital in Chinthapally, Nalgonda, Telangana, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday. The doctor was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a complainant. The bribe was given to issue a health and valuation certificate for eight buffaloes belonging to the complainant and his cousin.

The arrested doctor has been presented in court in Hyderabad, and further investigations are currently underway.
