Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 18: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a total of Rs 130 crores for repair and reconstruction works under the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) in view of the 2024 monsoon season. Each district magistrate will receive Rs 10 crores to address damages.

The Secretary of the Disaster Management Department has been directed to allocate the funds immediately. CM Dhami emphasized that the damaged assets should be reconstructed promptly and no delays will be tolerated.

In a recent meeting, CM Dhami stressed that disaster-related works should be prioritized and funds should be distributed without delay. The government is fully prepared to handle disasters, aiming to minimize public difficulties. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted promptly, and there will be no shortage of funds for disaster-related work.

All district magistrates have been instructed to ensure that the public does not face issues related to electricity, water, food grains, and medical care during the monsoon season. The Disaster Management Department is continuously monitoring the situation, and Emergency Operation Centres are working 24×7 at both state and district levels to provide relief.
