In New Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated a significant win in the Haryana Assembly elections, securing 48 out of 90 seats. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his congratulations to Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He praised the people of Haryana for forming a ‘double-engine government’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The BJP’s victory marks its third consecutive government in Haryana, while the Congress secured 37 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 2 seats, and Independent candidates claimed 3 seats.

CM Dhami also commented on the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, highlighting BJP’s strong performance and the region’s progress under PM Modi. He noted the reduction in stone-pelting incidents following the abrogation of Article 370. The National Conference and Congress alliance won a majority with 48 seats, while BJP secured 29 seats. The PDP won 3 seats, and AAP won from the Handwara constituency.
