In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in Haryana, despite exit polls predicting a win for the Congress. Pathak stated, “You (media) wait. Let the result come out. The BJP will form the government.”

Pathak highlighted the BJP’s national membership drive, emphasizing the efforts of party workers in setting up camps and conducting door-to-door campaigns to make the initiative successful.

By-Elections in Uttar Pradesh

Regarding the by-elections for 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Pathak confidently stated that the BJP is prepared and will win all 10 seats.

Exit Poll Predictions

Exit polls have largely predicted a victory for the Congress in Haryana. The TV-Today C voter projection suggests Congress may win 50-58 seats, while the BJP could secure 20-28 seats. The Republic TV-Matrize poll forecasts Congress winning 55-62 seats, with the BJP getting 18-24 seats. Other polls, including People Pulse and Dainik Bhaskar, also favor Congress, predicting similar outcomes.
