US Calls for Release of Hostages on Attack Anniversary

On October 8, the United States renewed its demand for Hamas to release all hostages taken during the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller emphasized the US commitment to reuniting hostages with their families. Israel’s President Isaac Herzog thanked US President Joe Biden for his condolences on the attack’s anniversary.
