Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 10: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statements made in Washington DC. Chouhan stated that tarnishing the country’s image abroad is akin to treason and that no patriot would do such a thing.

Chouhan remarked, “Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of Opposition (LoP) and he is also accountable for the country. Going out of the country and tarnishing the country’s image is a crime like treason, no patriot can do this. But Rahul ji seems to have become frustrated with the Congress after losing for the third time in a row and is venting his frustration out in America by spoiling the country’s image.”

He emphasized that while there are different political parties within India, when abroad, everyone represents the country, citing former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as an example.

Chouhan also shared an anecdote from his past visit to America, where he defended then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh against claims of being an underachiever, stating that an Indian PM could never be an underachiever.

Praising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Chouhan highlighted the dedication of its volunteers to the country. He questioned Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the RSS, noting the organization’s commitment to nation-building.

Chouhan also addressed Rahul Gandhi’s comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that people are not afraid of Modi because they love him, which is why he has been elected for the third consecutive time.

Further targeting Rahul Gandhi, Chouhan accused him of insulting Indian laborers and artisans by suggesting that everything in India is made in China. He pointed out that under PM Modi’s leadership, India is becoming self-reliant and is now the fifth largest economy in the world, soon to be the third largest.

Chouhan concluded by saying that despite Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he failed to connect with the Indian people, their culture, and traditions.

Rahul Gandhi is currently on a visit to the United States, where he has addressed the Indian diaspora in Virginia and interacted with students and teachers at the University of Texas in Dallas.
