Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Criticizes Congress at Uttarakhand BJP Meeting

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar criticized Congress for celebrating their victory on 99 Lok Sabha seats, comparing it to students celebrating marks. This statement was made during the Uttarakhand BJP State Working Committee Meeting in Dehradun.

Khattar said, “They (Opposition) are being happy like a student who gets 99 marks… But they got 99 out of 543… But I agree that they should celebrate one thing and that is Congress won just 44 seats in 2014 and 52 in 2019. The Opposition should get at least 54… This time they have at least become a recognised Opposition.”

Earlier, Khattar demanded accountability from Congress for their 10-year rule in Haryana, accusing them of causing despair and depression in the state. He said, “We will demand accountability for their (Congress) 10 years, what they did in those 10 years and what wrong they did to the country.”

These remarks were made after Khattar visited Delhi and participated in the Haryana CM’s Good Governance Associates Programme.
