Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Meets Arunachal Pradesh Governor and Chief Minister to Discuss Hydropower Projects

Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, visited Arunachal Pradesh and met with Governor Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar. They discussed the state’s vast hydropower potential and urban amenities.

The Governor emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh holds over 58,000 MW of untapped hydropower resources. He noted the strategic importance of developing these resources to meet regional and national energy demands, contributing to India’s renewable energy goals and the state’s economic development.

Khattar assured the Governor of all necessary assistance from his ministries. He also met with Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy CM Chowna Mein to review ongoing hydropower projects, transmission and distribution schemes, and the revamped distribution sector scheme in the state. Khattar praised Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to enhancing its power infrastructure, leading to significant sustainability improvements.
