He also expressed Japan's readiness to increase sanctions on Russia. Zelenskyy stressed the need for a just and lasting peace, achievable through joint efforts.
Earlier, Zelenskyy condemned Russia's attacks as "inhumane," noting that Ukrainian defenders shot down over 50 missiles and numerous drones, though some hits caused power outages. Al Jazeera reported casualties and damage to energy infrastructure, with one person killed and several injured in southern Ukraine.
