Ukraine's Defense Forces Repel Russian Drone Attack Across Multiple Regions
The Ukrainian Air Force reported a significant attack by Russian forces involving 103 Shahed drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These were launched from various locations including Bryansk, Millerovo, and Berdyansk. The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled much of the attack, downing 52 UAVs and drones across several regions.

In a statement on Telegram, the Ukrainian Air Force detailed the attack, noting that the drones were launched from Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Berdyansk. Additionally, an Iskander-M ballistic missile was launched from Crimea towards the Kherson region.
Defense Measures
The air attack was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine. The successful defense resulted in the downing of 52 Shahed UAVs and drones in regions including Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia.
Impact and Damage
Despite the successful defense, the attack caused damage to private properties and civilian infrastructure in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv. Fortunately, no casualties were initially reported. The Ukrainian Air Force mentioned that 44 enemy drone-simulators were lost without negative consequences, and one UAV flew towards Belarus.
Previous Attacks
Earlier, a Russian missile attack on Kyiv resulted in at least one death and 12 injuries, with several embassies sustaining damage. The Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed these casualties, noting that five of the injured were hospitalized while others received treatment at the scene.
