Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted more than 50 Shahed drones launched by Russia, targeting regions such as Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kyiv, and Kharkiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the need for enhanced long-range defense capabilities from international allies to stop these daily aerial assaults.

In a recent post, Zelenskyy highlighted the extensive use of missiles, guided bombs, and strike UAVs by Russia, which has caused significant damage across Ukraine. A recent attack in Zaporizhzhia injured 14 civilians, with similar strikes affecting Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy, damaging homes, energy infrastructure, and medical facilities.

The ongoing conflict, which began with Russia’s invasion in February 2022, has resulted in numerous civilian casualties. Despite international condemnation, Russia denies targeting civilians.
