Tamil Nadu Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inspected the Chennai Metro Rail works on Sunday. This includes the construction of India’s first double-decker metro bridge in Chennai. He visited various sites, including Maduravoyal Alapakkam, Arcot Road junction, and Poonamallee area, and urged officials to speed up the work and reduce traffic congestion.
During his visit, Udhayanidhi was accompanied by Tamil Nadu Health Minister Subramanian, MP Dayanidhi Maran, MLA Karampakkam Ganapathi, MLA Prabhakarraja, and other DMK leaders.
On Saturday, Udhayanidhi addressed rumors about his potential promotion to Deputy Chief Minister. He humorously denied these reports, stating that all ministers in the government are like Deputy Chief Ministers. He expressed his dedication to his current role and emphasized the party’s focus on winning the 2026 elections.
Udhayanidhi also encouraged youth wing members to engage more on social media and read the daily newspaper, Murasoli. He set a goal to include a youth cadre from every household and mentioned that the Deputy Secretary of the youth wing is traveling across the state to find suitable candidates for district-level positions.
