Two Bangladeshi Citizens Detained at Agartala Railway Station

In Agartala, Tripura, two Bangladeshi citizens were detained for illegally entering India. The individuals, Mohammed Jalal Awladar and Ruma Begum, along with her 4-year-old daughter Raima, were apprehended at the Agartala Railway Station. They are from Bagerhat district in Bangladesh and planned to travel to other Indian states by train.

The detention was a result of a joint operation by the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP), Border Security Force (BSF), and Agartala Railway Protection Force (RPF). The detained individuals are being questioned at the Agartala GRP police station, and further arrests may occur. A case has been registered, and they are set to appear in court on Wednesday.

Earlier, on November 4, a joint operation by the BSF and Sabroom Police led to the apprehension of eight individuals, including three Indian and five Bangladeshi nationals, at Jalkumbha near Sabroom in South Tripura. The BSF emphasizes its commitment to border security and is maintaining high alertness along the international border to prevent infiltration.
