Turkish President Erdogan Calls for Islamic Nations to Unite Against Israel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged Islamic nations to form an alliance to counter what he describes as ‘Israeli arrogance, banditry, and state terrorism.’ This call follows the death of a Turkish-American woman during a protest in the West Bank.

Speaking at an Islamic schools’ association event near Istanbul, Erdogan emphasized the need for solidarity among Islamic countries to address the growing threat of expansionism, which he said also threatens Lebanon and Syria.

In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz criticized Erdogan’s statements, calling them dangerous lies and incitement. Katz stated that Israel is defending its borders and citizens from Hamas and the ‘Shiite axis of evil led by Iran.’

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, accusing Israel of escalating regional conflict. The Ministry expressed condolences to the Palestinian people and reiterated Turkey’s support for their cause.
