On October 14, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the 64th Foundation Day celebration of the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital. The event took place at the KLS Auditorium in Agartala.

Importance of AGMC and GBP Hospital

During the celebration, CM Saha spoke about the significant role AGMC and GBP Hospital play in advancing medical education and healthcare services in Tripura. He emphasized the government’s dedication to improving medical infrastructure and making healthcare more accessible to all residents.

CM Saha highlighted the hospital’s historical importance in providing quality healthcare in the region. He praised Govindavallabh Panth (GB) Hospital for its reputation in delivering advanced treatment under government support for many years.

New Developments

On this special occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 34.46 crore was signed between the State Government and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). This agreement is for constructing a three-storied building on the hospital premises.

CM Saha expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for their dedication and service to the community. The foundation day celebrations included various programs showcasing the hospital’s achievements and contributions over the years.
