Thrikkakara Temple Hosts Grand Feast for Onam Festival in Kerala

The Thrikkakara Temple in Ernakulam, Kerala, hosted a grand feast called Uthrada Sadya for around 20,000 people as part of the Onam celebrations. The event took place on the ninth day of the festival, known as Uthradam.

Onam is a major festival in Kerala, celebrated from September 6 to 15 this year. It commemorates the Vamana avatar of Vishnu and the homecoming of the legendary Emperor Mahabali. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan extended greetings to the people and highlighted the ongoing rehabilitation efforts in Wayanad following landslides. He urged everyone to donate to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the reconstruction of disaster-affected areas.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan also extended his greetings, emphasizing the festival’s message of love, equality, and harmony. He encouraged everyone to spread the joy and spirit of Onam across the world.
