In Sipahijala, Tripura, three Bangladeshi nationals were caught trying to enter India by crossing the border fence, according to the Border Security Force (BSF). A person suspected of helping them was also arrested in Gurangola village’s Kalamchaura area. This arrest was made after a joint operation by the BSF and police, following information from the apprehended individuals.

Details of the Arrests

Two of the Bangladeshi nationals, from Dhaka, were caught near the Rahimpur border outpost in the Kalamchaura police station area of Sipahijala district on Wednesday. Another individual was apprehended near the Mohanpur border outpost in the Sidhai police station area of West Tripura District on Thursday. This person is from Chapainawabganj district in Bangladesh.

Increased Vigilance

The BSF has increased its vigilance along the Tripura border and is closely monitoring the activities of those who help people cross the border illegally. This is part of their efforts to dismantle the network of individuals facilitating illegal crossings.
