Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Seethakka and Other Leaders

On August 19, Telangana state minister Danasari Seethakka and other leaders celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying rakhi to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence. The festival, which honors the bond between siblings, saw leaders tying rakhis to the CM.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with school girls in the national capital, where they tied rakhis on his wrist. President Droupadi Murmu also extended her greetings to the nation, emphasizing the festival’s message of love and mutual trust between brothers and sisters.

In a post on X, President Murmu said, “On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the countrymen. This festival, based on the feeling of love and mutual trust between brothers and sisters, instills a feeling of affection and respect towards all sisters and daughters.”

Prime Minister Modi also greeted people on the occasion, praying for everyone’s happiness and prosperity. He said, “Best wishes to all countrymen on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the immense love between brother and sister. May this holy festival bring new sweetness in the relationships of all of you and happiness, prosperity and good fortune in life.”

Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is a traditional Hindu festival where sisters tie a Rakhi around their brothers’ wrists, and brothers offer gifts in return as a symbol of love and care.
