TDP Leader Gandi Babji Accuses YSRCP of Using Animal Fat in Tirupati Prasadam
Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 21: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Gandi Babji has accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of using animal fat in the consecrated sweets, known as ‘Tirupati Prasadam,’ at the Sri Venkateswara Temple. He alleged that the YSRCP engaged in illegal activities for monetary gain.
Speaking on Friday, Babji said, “The previous YSRCP government did all illegal activities for greed of money. They did not consider people’s lives and sentiments.” He added that the current government, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is investigating the matter to find those responsible.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu claimed that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP government. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his shock and called for the establishment of a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board’ to protect the sanctity of temples.
YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy responded to the allegations by stating, “Ultimately, at the end of the day, I myself am writing a letter to the Prime Minister. I am also writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India. I am explaining to them as to how Chandrababu Naidu twisted the facts and why action should be taken against him for having done so.”
