In Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Tanvir Sadiq, the Chief Spokesperson and Communication Incharge of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, expressed optimism about the upcoming election results. He believes that the National Conference-Congress alliance will emerge victorious on October 8, the day of counting.

Hope for a Stable Government

Tanvir Sadiq emphasized the need for a stable government in Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned that people have voted in large numbers, and the results stored in the electronic voting machines (EVMs) will reflect their choice for a strong and vibrant government.

Exit Poll Predictions

According to Axis My India, the exit polls predict a hung assembly in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Conference-Congress alliance is slightly ahead, with a projected win of 35-45 seats, while the BJP is expected to secure 24-34 seats. The majority mark to form a government is 46 seats, and no party is predicted to reach this mark.

Other Parties’ Prospects

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is expected to win 4-6 seats, and the Awam Ittehad Party, led by Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid, could win 3-8 seats. Sajjad Lone’s People’s Conference might secure 1-3 seats, while other parties could win 4-10 seats. The NC-Congress alliance’s vote share is predicted to reach 38%, with the BJP at 21%.
