Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Announces New International Airport in Hosur

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], June 27: The Tamil Nadu government will build a new international airport in Hosur to boost socio-economic development in Hosur, Krishnagiri, and Dharmapuri districts, Chief Minister MK Stalin announced in the assembly on Thursday.

Making a statement in the Assembly under Rule 110, Stalin said the new airport would cover an area of 2,000 acres and manage about 30 million passengers a year. He highlighted that Hosur has been attracting major investments in Electronic Vehicles and emphasized the need for an airport to further its development.

Stalin also listed the achievements of their Dravidian model government, stating that Tamil Nadu is developing in all sectors, especially in big industries, and attracting global investments.

Additionally, CM Stalin announced the establishment of a Grand Library and Science Centre in Trichy, similar to those in Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Chief Minister MK Stalin moved a resolution in the State Assembly urging the Central Government to commence the census work, including a caste-based population census, to ensure equal rights and opportunities in education, economy, and employment for every citizen of India.
