CM Stalin announced financial aid for those affected by the cyclone. Families of deceased victims will receive Rs 5 lakh, while those with damaged houses will get Rs 10,000. The government will prioritize rebuilding homes under the Kalaignar Dream House scheme. Compensation for crop damage includes Rs 17,000 per hectare for paddy and Rs 22,500 for perennial crops. Other crops will receive Rs 8,500 per hectare. Livestock compensation includes Rs 37,500 for bulls and cows, Rs 4,000 for goats, and Rs 100 for hens.
Ration card holders in affected areas will receive Rs 2,000. Special camps will help residents replace lost identity documents, and textbooks will be distributed to students.
