Sunil Soren Accuses JMM of Using Rohingyas as Vote Bank in Dumka Election
In Dumka, Jharkhand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sunil Soren, who is contesting against Basant Soren, brother of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has made serious allegations against the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and its allies. He claims they are settling Bangladeshi Rohingyas to use them as a “vote bank.” Soren expressed concerns about the declining tribal population and accused the government of being unconcerned.
Soren stated that the BJP has raised its voice on this issue and that the Jharkhand High Court has taken note. He believes the tribal community now understands the false promises made by the INDIA bloc and will vote for the BJP in significant numbers. Soren highlighted the BJP’s efforts to honor the tribal community by appointing them to respected positions, mentioning President Droupadi Murmu as an example.
He dismissed Basant Soren as a competition, criticizing his performance and accusing him of personal gains. Soren emphasized the need for improvements in education, healthcare, and agriculture in his constituency, Dumka, which he believes has been neglected under the current leadership.
Soren also reacted to a controversial statement by Irfan Ansari about Sita Soren, criticizing the INDIA bloc for disrespecting women. The elections for the 81-seat assembly in Jharkhand are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23. A total of 2.60 crore voters, including 1.31 crore male and 1.29 crore female voters, are eligible to vote.
