Sukanta Majumdar Accuses TMC of Hiding RG Kar Medical College Incident

Union MoS and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar has accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of attempting to cover up the rape and murder of a trainee woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata. Majumdar claimed that TMC tampered with evidence and tried to portray the incident as a suicide.

He stated, “We have been saying this from the start that TMC has been trying to hide the entire incident. This has been their plan, and they even tried to prove that it is a suicide. They tried to tamper with the evidence.”

Majumdar also alleged that TMC is protecting former RG Kar principal Sandip Ghosh, who has been appointed to various positions despite allegations against him. Ghosh has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for alleged corruption and financial misconduct.

The brutal incident has triggered protests in West Bengal and across the country. The next court hearing is scheduled for September 10.
