Srikant Jena Predicts Congress Victory in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir

In Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Congress leader Srikant Jena expressed confidence in the Congress party’s success in the upcoming elections. He stated that it was expected for Congress to win in Haryana and for the National Conference-Congress alliance to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir. Jena criticized the BJP, suggesting that the public, including farmers and unemployed youths, were eager to see a change in leadership.

Jena also commented on the possibility of the PDP supporting the NC-Congress alliance, asserting that the PDP would never support the BJP, ensuring a non-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Exit polls have indicated a strong performance for Congress in Haryana, with predictions of winning over 50 out of 90 seats. In Jammu and Kashmir, the Axis My India poll suggests a close race, with the NC-Congress alliance slightly ahead but no party reaching the majority mark of 46 seats.

The elections in Haryana concluded with a 65.65% voter turnout, while Jammu and Kashmir held elections in three phases. The results for both states will be announced on October 8.
