Special Flight Brings 71 Pakistanis Home Amidst West Asia Tensions

A special flight is set to arrive in Karachi, Pakistan, on Wednesday morning, carrying 71 Pakistanis from Lebanon and Syria. This operation was organized by the Pakistan Embassy in Lebanon and Syria to ensure a safe evacuation. The flight includes 67 Pakistanis who traveled from Lebanon to Syria by road before being airlifted, along with four Pakistanis from Syria.

The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (DGCAA) approved a special flight by Cham Wings Airlines to facilitate this repatriation. An Airbus A320 will be used to transport a total of 180 Pakistanis from Lebanon back to Pakistan within the next 48 hours. The Pakistani ambassador in Lebanon has been informed to ensure coordinated efforts.

Meanwhile, tensions in West Asia have escalated. Israel reported that Hezbollah launched over 100 rockets and missiles targeting civilians in the greater Haifa region. In response, Israel expanded its military actions, striking southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also conducted a drone strike on a school in southern Lebanon’s Tayr Harfa, targeting Hezbollah operatives.
