President Tharman is on a four-day state visit to India, which began on January 14. He arrived in Odisha as part of this trip. However, he stressed the importance of all Singaporeans, including non-Indian Singaporeans, engaging with India to explore its opportunities and embrace its diversity.
Tharman mentioned that while this relationship may not always provide economic benefits, it broadens the worldview of Singaporeans. He cited examples of non-Indian Singaporeans who have found value in spending time in India.
