A group of Sikh leaders met with BJP President JP Nadda to express their gratitude for his efforts in resolving their issues. Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, praised the BJP government for its work for the Sikh community.

Iqbal Singh Lalpura said, “We had come to thank him for always working to resolve any issues faced by Sikhs. I also presented my book to him. The works done by Modi ji, Amit Shah ji, and Nadda ji have been a balm on our wounds. Whenever there has been a BJP government in Centre, it has always worked for the welfare of Sikhs.”

Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, extended his heartfelt thanks to JP Nadda for inviting him and other Sikh leaders for an evening of High Tea. He said, “It was a wonderful opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and strengthen our shared vision.”

BJP leader Manjinder Sirsa also expressed his gratitude, saying, “My sincere gratitude to Sh JP Nadda, Hon’ble National President of BJP, for inviting us all, the Sikh leaders from Delhi, to a wonderful evening of High Tea at his residence. We had enriching discussions that further strengthened our collective vision for the future. Deeply grateful for his humility and outreach approach.”

The meeting comes amid a political spat between Congress and BJP over Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in the USA. Rahul Gandhi had commented on the challenges faced by Sikhs in India, which led to a strong reaction from BJP leaders, including Ravneet Singh Bittu, who called Gandhi the “country’s number 1 terrorist.” Rahul Gandhi defended his remarks and accused the BJP of lying and trying to silence him.
