Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Meets President Mohamed Muizzu in New York
During the 79th UN General Assembly
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for progress and prosperity for the Maldives. President Mohamed Muizzu also sent his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and wished for further progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
They discussed various items on the UNGA agenda and joint cooperation in sectors such as economic, tourism, renewable energy, climate, commercial, and investment. They also addressed issues of mutual interest and reviewed their cooperation within international organizations.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the growing relations with the Maldives and the UAE’s commitment to enhancing these relations to serve the mutual interests and developmental aspirations of both countries.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
