Shaina NC Joins Shiv Sena to Contest Mumbadevi Seat
Shaina NC, a former BJP spokesperson, has filed her nomination to contest from the Mumbadevi constituency in Mumbai. She recently joined Shiv Sena after resigning from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shaina describes Mumbai as her ‘Karmabhoomi’ and ‘Janmabhoomi’.
Shaina will be running against Congress’ Amin Patel, who has held the seat since 2009. She criticized Patel for the lack of progress in the constituency, urging voters to elect a ‘netri’ (female leader) this time.
Shiv Sena announced Shaina’s candidacy as part of their list of 15 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. The elections are set for November 20, with results to be declared on November 23.
