Darmstadt, Germany – Shafi Burfat, the Chairman of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (Sindhudesh National Movement), has written a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. He is asking the United Nations and the international community to take action to free the Sindhi, Balochi, Pashtun, and Seraiki communities from Pakistani control.

Burfat claims that these communities have been oppressed by Punjabi imperialism and military dominance. He says they have faced political oppression, economic exploitation, and cultural erasure. According to Burfat, Pakistan’s policies have created an environment where terrorism and extremism thrive, affecting not only these communities but also neighboring countries and the world.

Burfat highlights that the suppression of national identities and cultural heritage has led to resistance and discontent. He calls for the international community to support the freedom movements of these historic nations and hold Pakistan accountable for its oppressive policies.

He also mentions that the Sindhi culture, language, and history are being distorted and violated. Burfat points out that despite Sindh’s rich natural resources, the local population suffers from poverty due to economic exploitation by the central authorities.

Burfat concludes by urging the UN and the international community to take immediate action to liberate these communities and restore their rights and freedoms.
