Security Tightened at Bikaner Railway Station After Jaish-e-Mohammed Threat
Security has been increased at railway stations in Rajasthan, including Bikaner, following a threat from the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed to blow up stations on October 30. Security forces, including GRP and RPF officers, are conducting thorough searches and advising passengers to stay vigilant. No suspicious items have been found so far, and checks will continue until Diwali.
Increased Security Measures
GRP station officer Neha Rajpurohit and RPF in-charge Subhash Vishnoi, along with their teams and a dog squad, are conducting thorough searches at Bikaner station. They are checking for suspicious individuals and items in trains arriving from Bikaner, Musafirkhana, and various platforms and circulation areas.
Passenger Advisory
Passengers are advised to stay vigilant and report any unclaimed luggage to the police and railway administration immediately. In-charge of the RPF Police Station Subhash Chandra Vishnoi stated that luggage, waiting halls, and dustbins are being checked, and doctors are assisting in the process.
Vishnoi added that checks are being conducted at every station in Bikaner, and no suspicious items have been found so far. The security measures will continue until Diwali.
