Congress Stages Protest in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Congress Incharge, Sachin Pilot, explained the reasons behind the protest. He criticized the state government for not fulfilling election promises and for the increasing crime rates. He also mentioned that the government is more focused on targeting the opposition rather than governing effectively.
Pilot also commented on the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it a ‘Sarkar Bachao Budget’ and expressing disappointment over the lack of benefits for Chhattisgarh.
Opposition’s Reaction to the Union Budget
Meanwhile, opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, protested in the Parliament complex against the Union Budget. They described the budget as discriminatory and full of hollow promises.
Rahul Gandhi criticized the budget on social media, calling it a ‘Kursi Bachao Budget’ and accusing the government of making empty promises. Mallikarjun Kharge also expressed his dissatisfaction, labeling the budget as a ‘copycat’ of Congress’ agenda.

The traffic police issued parking locations and route charts for Congress workers coming from different parts of the state to participate in the protest.
