Jaishankar proposed strengthening independent platforms like BRICS to offer more choices and reduce reliance on dominant powers. He called for reforms in international organizations, including the UN Security Council and multilateral development banks, to better reflect current realities.

Economic and Infrastructure Development

He advocated for creating more production hubs to ensure resilient supply chains, using the COVID-19 pandemic as a reminder of this need. Jaishankar also emphasized the importance of respecting territorial integrity and sovereignty while improving global infrastructure.

Sharing Innovations and Experiences

Jaishankar highlighted India’s initiatives like the Unified Payments Interface and the International Solar Alliance as examples of sharing experiences for mutual benefit. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance that dialogue and diplomacy should resolve conflicts, with zero tolerance for terrorism.

Jaishankar expressed concern over the Middle East conflict, emphasizing the need for a fair and durable two-state solution. He concluded by stating that the BRICS gathering signifies a readiness to address longstanding global challenges.
