Rescue Efforts in Nepal: Search for Missing Buses Continues
In Nepal, the bodies of an Indian and a Nepali national were found after two buses were swept away by a landslide into the Narayani River. The search for the missing buses and passengers continues, with divers and rescue teams using advanced equipment.
Identified Victims
The body of an Indian national, Hrishipal Sah, was found in Golaghat, Chitwan. His brother identified the body, and it has been taken to Bharatpur Hospital. Another body, identified as Nepali national Ramit Kishor Majhi, was also found and identified by his father.
Search Operations
The search operations, involving the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, will resume in the morning due to rising water levels and darkness. The search area includes 50 kilometers downstream and near the religious site of Devghat.
Incident Details
At least five dozen people went missing after two buses, the Kathmandu-bound Angel Deluxe Bus and a Ganapati Deluxe Bus, were swept away by a landslide into the Trishuli River near Simaltal along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section.
