Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 30: Ravindra Jadeja celebrated a special moment by taking his 300th Test wicket during the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur. Jadeja’s milestone came after he outwitted Khaled Ahmed. Over his decade-long career, Jadeja has delivered memorable performances in Test cricket.

Following his record-breaking moment, Jadeja is now one of 11 players to score 3000-plus runs and take 300-plus wickets in Test cricket. He is the second quickest to achieve this feat, behind England’s Ian Botham.

In a rain-curtailed Test, India declared at 285/9, leading by 52 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal led the aggressive batting approach. Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling removed Zakir Hasan and Hasan Mahmud, leaving Bangladesh trailing by 26 runs with eight wickets in hand.

Jadeja expressed optimism for India’s chances on the final day, saying, “We batted very well. Whatever we planned, we batted accordingly. Hopefully, we get them out as early as possible.”
