Ravi Shankar Prasad Criticizes Rahul Gandhi’s Visit to Manipur

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has criticized Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his visit to Manipur, accusing him of trying to politicize the issue. Prasad emphasized that as the Leader of the Opposition, Gandhi should act responsibly. He highlighted the need to reduce tensions between the Meitei and Kuki communities and bring peace to Manipur.

Prasad stated, “Manipur is a sensitive issue. Everyone should make efforts to bring peace there. Rahul Gandhi is politicizing this issue. Lok Sabha elections are over. Manipur needs ointments. There is a need to minimize the distance between the two communities.”

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi visited relief camps in Manipur, including Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Sadbhavna Mandap in Tuibong, Churachandpur district. He met with victims of violence and offered support. The Congress party highlighted his commitment to the people’s cause through a post on a microblogging site.

Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to meet Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey and address a press conference at the Manipur Congress office.
