The Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) recently held its first board meeting with newly elected members in Washington DC. The meeting was led by RANA's president, Prem Bhandari, who unveiled the poster for "Rajasthan Tourism Year 2025" to boost global tourism in Rajasthan.
Prem Bhandari emphasized Rajasthan's potential as a top tourist destination in India, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India's development by 2047. He noted that Rajasthan has secured investment MoUs worth $350 billion, thanks to PM Modi's leadership.
Distinguished guests at the meeting included Dr. Samin Sharma, a renowned cardiologist, and KK Mehta, President of the Rajasthan Foundation. Former RANA presidents and other notable figures also attended.
RANA decided to celebrate its 25th anniversary in New York by organizing the 5th International RANA Convention. A pledge of USD 400,000 was made during the meeting.
Dr. Samin Sharma and Kanak Golia were honored for their contributions to healthcare, having installed advanced MRI machines in Jaipur and Jodhpur. RANA also recognized Dr. Sharad Kothari and Anita Thakkar for their roles in the AIA New York chapter.
Several key appointments were announced, including Amit Saraf and Amit Sorewala as Joint Secretaries, Rajneesh Garg as Joint Treasurer, and Arvind Bhandari as Chair of International Relations. More appointments are expected soon.
