Congress has appointed Rama Chandra Kadam as its Legislature party leader in the Odisha Assembly. Ashok Das is the new deputy leader, and Lt. Col. Dr. CS Raazen Ekka (Retd) is the chief whip.

The 17th Odisha Assembly session starts on July 22, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presenting the state budget on July 25. Majhi highlighted that the BJP’s first budget will empower all communities and that the new government will allow direct interaction with the CM, a change from the past 24 years.
