In a series of election meetings in Mumbai, Palghar, and Pune, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized the Congress party for not respecting Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar during their 20-year rule. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring Ambedkar with the Bharat Ratna. Singh accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading people with the caste census and claimed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi treats Maharashtra as a source of money. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s support in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, suggesting an NDA government is likely in both states.

Singh highlighted the BJP’s efforts in poverty eradication, stating that 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line since 2014 under Modi’s leadership. He also mentioned the Nari Shakti Vandan Act Bill, which grants 33% reservation for women in parliament and assemblies. Addressing a rally in Pune, Singh accused Congress of damaging the social fabric for votes and emphasized BJP’s commitment to justice and unity, urging for a united and developed Maharashtra.
