Railway Employee Detained for Placing Detonators on Track in Madhya Pradesh
A railway staff member named Shabeer has been detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for illegally possessing and placing railway detonators on a track near Sagphata station, between Khandwa and Bhusaval in Madhya Pradesh.
Details of the Incident
Dr. Swapnil D Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway, stated that the detonators, which are used in regular railway operations, were found on the track but did not cause any damage. Shabeer has been arrested under the Railways Property (Unlawful Possession) Act and has been remanded to judicial custody for three days.
Ongoing Investigation
Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang mentioned that a probe is underway and it is inappropriate to comment before the report is finalized. Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar added that all railway staff and security agencies are vigilant, and the investigation involves the NIA, ATS, and civil police. Appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
