Uttar Pradesh Police are searching for Bhole Baba, who is missing. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a judicial probe into the incident, with a report expected in two months.

Details of the Incident

The stampede happened on Tuesday evening at a satsang conducted by Bhole Baba, also known as Narayan Sakar Hari. The chaos began when devotees rushed to seek blessings and collect soil from around the preacher’s feet but were stopped by security personnel, leading to a push and several people falling.

Police and Government Actions

Uttar Pradesh Police conducted a search operation at Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri but did not find Bhole Baba. An FIR has been registered against the organizers of the prayer meeting. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the site and ordered a judicial probe, forming a three-member Judicial Inquiry Commission led by Justice (retd) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava to investigate the incident.
