New Delhi, India – Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify his stance on the farm laws that were previously repealed. This demand comes after BJP MP Kangana Ranaut suggested that the laws should be reinstated.

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, stated that the INDIA bloc will not allow any conspiracy against farmers to succeed. He criticized the BJP for testing public reactions through its members and demanded a clear position from PM Modi.

In a video posted on X, Rahul Gandhi said, “Modiji, please clarify on this. Are you with this or are you up to some trick again? Will you revive those black farm laws or not? If they revive, I guarantee that the INDIA alliance will stand against them.” He also reminded that 700 people lost their lives during the protests against the farm laws.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut apologized for her remarks and expressed regret, stating that her views should align with the party’s stance. She acknowledged that as a BJP worker, her opinions represent the party’s stand.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia clarified that Kangana Ranaut’s statements were her personal views and not the party’s official stance. He emphasized that she was not authorized to speak on such matters.

Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja also criticized Kangana Ranaut, calling her “habitually controversial.” The BJP had previously distanced itself from her comments about the farmers’ agitation.
