PTI Leaders Visit Imran Khan in Adiala Jail
A group of leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party is set to visit Adiala Jail to meet with the party’s founder, Imran Khan. The delegation includes PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Hamid Raza, Barrister Ali Zafar, and Asad Qaiser. They plan to discuss a constitutional amendment package with the former Prime Minister and seek his guidance.
Constitutional Amendment Discussions
Following the meeting, PTI aims to finalize its constitutional amendment package and share it with other political parties. PTI information secretary Sheikh Waqas emphasized the importance of consulting Imran Khan, especially as the government seeks to appoint the Supreme Court’s Chief Justice. He assured that PTI members of the National Assembly (MNAs) would not support the government’s amendment package, which he claims aims to ban PTI.

PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that the party will adhere to Imran Khan’s directives regarding the amendments. After meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Barrister Khan mentioned that the draft amendments were approved by a special parliamentary committee, despite PTI’s opposition. He expressed the intention to submit another request to meet Imran Khan for further guidance.
