Protests in Pakistan: Imran Khan's Supporters Demand Change Amidst Unrest

In New Delhi, Defence Expert Anil Gaur shared his views on the ongoing protests in Pakistan led by the Tehreek-e-Insaf party, headed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Gaur believes that Pakistan is facing the consequences of its past actions, as the protests highlight the people's desire for democracy.

Imran Khan's Removal and Public Unrest

Gaur explained that Imran Khan was removed from power due to various forces, including regime change efforts by figures like George Soros, as Khan was seen aligning with China and Russia. This removal led to significant public anger, with incidents like the burning of a corps commander's house.

Call for Democracy

According to Gaur, the Pakistani public is tired of the military and ISI's control, leading to a civil war-like situation. He emphasized the need for proper elections and the return of Imran Khan to leadership.

Violence During Protests

During a rally demanding Imran Khan's release, four Pakistan Rangers were killed, and several others, including police officers, were injured. Reports indicate that since the protests began on November 24, 25 policemen have died, and over 100 have been injured.

Government's Response

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attacks on Rangers and police officers by protesters in Islamabad.
