Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to File Nomination for Wayanad
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will join Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as she files her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress party approved her candidacy on October 15, following the bypoll schedule announcement by the Election Commission of India.
Support from Congress Leaders
Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka’s brother, expressed his support, stating that she would be a passionate representative for Wayanad. He invited people to join them on October 23 for the nomination filing. Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi will accompany Priyanka during the nomination process in Kalpetta, Wayanad.
Road Show and Campaign
Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi will hold a road show starting at 11 AM, with the nomination filing scheduled for noon. Priyanka met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for guidance and blessings ahead of the campaign.
Election Competition
The BJP candidate, Navya Hariprasad, mentioned that Priyanka would face tough competition in the bypolls. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has also announced their candidate, Sathyan Mokeri. The Wayanad bypolls will take place on November 13, alongside assembly polls in Jharkhand and other states.
