Historic Ties and Diplomatic Relations
MEA Secretary (West) Tanmaya Lal called this a landmark visit, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Poland. He recalled Poland’s assistance to India during the evacuation of Indian students from Ukraine in 2022 and the refuge provided to Polish women and children during World War 2.
During his visit, PM Modi will meet with Polish leaders, including the President, and interact with the Indian community in Poland. He will also receive a ceremonial welcome in Warsaw.
